Persimmons have turned ripe in Zhijiao Village, Zezhou County, north China's Shanxi Province. Local households have been busy making dried persimmons, a popular sweet snack on the market this season.
It often takes a month for the fruits to dry naturally, and it can then be preserved for six months to a year. Persimmon planting in the village has a history of nearly 100 years, with over 200 persimmon trees, which produce 15,000 kilograms of dried persimmons a year.
