Shanxi province has witnessed a steady increase in corporate sales revenue from January to April, with several sectors stealing the spotlight.

The industrial sector has continued its growth momentum, with overall industrial sales revenue rising by 2.07 percent year-on-year. The mining and manufacturing sectors saw sales revenue increases of 7.13 percent and 5.59 percent, respectively, while the electronic equipment manufacturing sector, along with the automotive industry, experienced significant growth, with sales revenues surging by 47.09 percent and 39.32 percent, respectively.

The digital economy showed robust vitality, with sales revenue from core industries climbing 11.27 percent year-on-year. Within this, the digital product manufacturing and digital technology application sectors saw sales increases of 29.91 percent and 19.69 percent, respectively.

AI played a pivotal role in driving growth. Sales revenue in integrated circuit manufacturing and electronic special materials manufacturing grew by 44.36 percent and 23.05 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, sales in AI terminal applications, such as robotics and smart vehicle equipment manufacturing, surged by 72.14 percent and 44.20 percent, respectively.

The service consumption market also remained robust. Sales revenues in travel agencies and related services rose by 17.18 percent, leisure and sightseeing activities by 12.50 percent, and cultural and sports entertainment by 9.65 percent. Additionally, revenues from food delivery services increased by 13.64 percent, hotels by 11.02 percent, and homestay services by 8.99 percent.
